Abadal Picapoll.

The recovery of local varieties, a commitment to the identity of a wine-growing region. Maintaining the diversity of varieties and sensations as the land’s response to standardization. A white wine with generous breadth in the mouth, suggesting fruity and floral complexity. Pineapple and grapefruit on jasmine and apricot.

Varieties: 100% Picapoll.

Serve at: 10ºC.

Abadal arose with the desire to express the singularity of a soil through its wines. It is the commitment to a land as a path to differentiation and identity. Fusing classic wine-making knowledge with an openness to New World concepts is key to Abadal’s style.

Abadal was founded in 1983 by Valentí Roqueta in Santa Maria d’Horta d’Avinyó, on the lands close to his family home, Masia Roqueta. He came from a family with more than nine centuries of history and a long-standing tradition in wine growing. The vineyards are the testimony of that family’s enduring passion. There are few areas where vines and woods coexist in the Bages area.

Our vineyards grow in a wooded area with a microclimate of contrasting conditions that give intensity to our grapes and quality to our wines. Our vine stock, the scarce rainfall and the latest in wine-growing and wine-making techniques are the pillars for magnificent red wines and singular white wines with a unique identity.
